The Zillertaler Bergmeisterschaft, known as the Gerlosbergrennen, is a brief mountain bike race held in Austria’s Zillertal, organized by ARBÖ Raiffeisen Radteam Zillertal. It begins in the early afternoon at the Mittelschule Zell am Ziller, immediately presenting riders with a 6-kilometer climb gaining approximately 600 meters of elevation.
The finish is located at the Enzianhof on Gerlosberg, making the race straightforward in concept but demanding in execution: ascend from the valley to the mountain as quickly as possible. Elite competitors participate as the event also serves as the Tyrolean mountain championship, alongside hobby riders competing in various age categories. Radteam Zillertal incorporates its club championship on the same day, lending the event a local club race atmosphere in addition to the regional title competition.
