38. Klingenlauf

The Klingenlauf takes place in Solingen’s Südpark, behind the ice rink in Solingen-Mitte, annually on Corpus Christi. This local event draws over 1,500 participants for its various races, including children, families, school groups, company teams, club runners, and those competing in the 10K. The event offers a range of distances: 5 km, 7.5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, half marathon, and 25 km. Separate races are available for family runners and junior athletes. Organizers refer to it as “Running Made in Solingen,” and the race upholds a long-standing tradition in the city known as the Klingenstadt, or City of Blades.
