The Glühwürmchen Lauf Dortmund is an evening run in Dortmund's Revierpark Wischlingen, held the night before Corpus Christi. "Glühwürmchen" translates to firefly, and the event embraces this theme: participants receive a controllable LED wristband, children get glow sticks, and each start features an LED warm-up. The program is straightforward and family-oriented, offering a children's run alongside 5 km and 10 km options suitable for running or walking. The course remains within the park, avoiding city streets. The appeal lies in the nighttime ambiance and the procession of participants through Wischlingen illuminated by lights.
