The adidas TERREX MaXi-Race is a trail-running series centered on Lake Annecy in the French Alps, with events taking place over a late-May weekend. The core concept is the Tour du Lac d'Annecy via the mountains; participants follow ridges and trails surrounding the lake, not just the shoreline. The schedule accommodates various skill levels, offering youth races, shorter lake circuits, and a solo 100-105 km Tour du Lac. The series divides its events into two categories: “Race” for those seeking a competitive challenge, and “eXpérience” for participants focusing on the mountain aspect. The Race category features the complete Tour du Lac, runnable solo, as a relay, or over two days, alongside the Shokz Demi-tOur du Lac, Quart-de-tOur du Lac, Ado-Race events, and orienteering races named MaXi’O and Semi’O. Certain Race entries have prerequisites and stricter time limits, targeting experienced trail runners. The event also functions as a solidarity initiative, adding a community dimension to the weekend beyond the competition.
