Amara Berriko Krossa

Amara Berriko Krossa is a neighborhood running event in Donostia-San Sebastián, held in Amara Nuevo with the start and finish at Preboste plaza. The adult race begins in the evening, offering a 3 km or 6 km distance: the shorter route is one lap, and the longer option is two laps. It is designated as a non-competitive event, suitable for those seeking a local run rather than a formal racing environment. The race was established to support the Basque language and is coordinated by the Amara Berri Basque-language committee, with Donostia Kultura also participating. Children have their own race prior to the adults, along with games and activities earlier in the day. Following the running, attendees convene for lunch, awards, and live music, contributing to the event's atmosphere as a community day in Amara Berri as much as a road race.
