Carreira Rota do Románico

The Carreira Popular Rota do Románico Concello de Pantón is a road race held in late May in Ferreira de Pantón, Lugo province, Galicia. The main event covers 6.27 km with +381 m of elevation gain, featuring a short but steep course. The Plaza del Ayuntamiento serves as the hub for the race, functioning as the start, finish, and bib collection point, making the town square the central location throughout the event. The event includes more than just the adult race. School races and children's events under the Peque Pantón name are also part of the program, alongside a 12.5 km walking route with +295 m of elevation gain. Participation is free for all formats, reflecting its purpose as a local, inclusive community gathering rather than a competition solely for elite athletes. The Concello de Pantón organizes and sponsors the event, with iNNOHEROICA assisting with event management. This marks the twenty-fourth edition of the series.
