The Marcha de los Tres Ibones begins at 8:00 AM from Guarrinza, located in Selva de Oza within the western Aragonese Pyrenees. This mountain race offers three distance options: 13 km with 670 m of elevation gain, 33 km with 1,500 m, or 47 km with 2,200 m. The name itself refers to the high mountain lakes, or ibones, that define the race paths.
The course crosses a section of Valles Occidentales Natural Park, leading to the Acherito and Estanés lakes. The longest route extends into France's Aspe Valley, including a visit to Ibón de Arlet. This event is put on by the Asociación Turística Valle de Hecho, with assistance from Club de montaña Asamún. It attracts runners and hikers seeking a challenging day in the Ansó and Hecho valleys, preferring this over a road-race environment.
