Beh Čakanským chotárom is a charity run held in late May at the Čaka Amphitheatre in Čaka, Levice district, Slovakia. Participants can choose between 10 km and 5 km races, with children’s races and a Nordic walking category included. This event is in its second edition and is part of the Bežecká liga Patriotov, a running league for competitors throughout the district.
The course is primarily off-road, consisting of about three-quarters dirt roads and one-quarter asphalt. The 10 km route has a 250-meter climb, and the 5 km route climbs 125 meters. OZ Čakanská hora organizes the race. The entry fee includes a chip timing number, a participant medal, refreshments, a drink, and a small gift. A village refreshment stand is also available on the course. Proceeds from the race support Alicka Petríková, who has severe disabilities including total deafness and functional blindness, and Milotka Kolečániová, who was born with a fused and deformed skull, underwent multiple surgeries, and later developed epilepsy.
